Job Title: PostgreSQL DBA
Duration: 18 Months
Location: Jacksonville, Chicago, Atlanta
Required Pay Scale: 65

Project Details:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Additionally, this role requires a strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components to support data storage, processing, and analytics needs.
Must Haves

• PostgreSQL DBA experience in a 24x7 production environment
• 6 years of Postgres database management
• mysql to postgres migration experience
• Exceptional SQL development and performance tuning skills
• Experience architecting a large-scale production database platforms
• Expertise with Postgres system metrics and optimization strategies
• Familiarity with system level metrics and practical use of common Linux utilities
• Mastery of one or more of the following scripting languages: Python, Bash, etc.
• Understanding of virtualization and clustered environments

Desired Skills
Experience working closely with a data engineering team to manage and support Hadoop clusters, including HDFS, Hive, and other components
