Mathnasium of Westchase is a small, veteran-owned business in Tampa, FL. We are professional, engaging, and fun. Our goal is to help every child reach their potential in math! We work with students in grades PreK through 12th grade, including Algebra 1, 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and test prep programs for the SSAT, PSAT, SAT, and ACT.

We are looking for an individual who can provide expert math instruction to our students and who will serve as a leader for our center (manager when the Center Director or Assistant Center Manager aren't present). This leader should be available to work each day we are open and serve as a communication point for our families when needed, provide additional math materials to students when needed, and perform duties assigned by the Center Director or Assistant Center Manager as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (graduated)
• Reliabletransportation!
• Length of stay 6 months
• Preferred Availability to work Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Saturday 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• You will teach/review the lessons prepared in your assigned student's binder
• You will hand over any students who have behavioral issues to the Center Director, who will then handle them or call parents to pick them up early
• You will only work with a maximum of 3/4 students in a given hour time frame
• You will only work on math concepts including Mathnasium Curriculum in the student's binder
• You will assist students who are working on homework from school and review any study guides the student brings with them to prepare for tests. The Center Director will prepare additional materials.
• Training is paid, done in the center or from home

Applicants will complete a math skills assessment which includes Algebra and Geometry.

Applicants will complete an on-the-floor observation to determine if the position is a good fit for both parties.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
