Mathis ISD is Hiring a School Psychologist Near Mathis, TX

Primary Purpse:
Implement the special education assessment process. Implement evaluation duties and ARD meetings for assigned campus(es) that will result in provision of services in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Assess the educational needs of students referred for special education services. Provide diagnostic information and work cooperatively with instructional personnel to provide the most
appropriate programs for students with disabilities.

Educational Certification:

Master's Degree in Psychology or closely related field.
Certified as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (Preferred but not Required).
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Thorough knowledge of practices and procedures for psychological and intellectual measurement
Knowledge of prevention and intervention strategies, including behavior management interventions
Knowledge of psycho-social development
Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:
Preferred 1 year experience providing psychological services in a public school setting.
