Description: Maternity BVM School in Chicago is seeking a Pre-K aide for the 2024-2025 school year. Successful candidates will be organized, collaborative, and positive with their students, inspiring creative and academic success with implementing a diverse and creative curriculum to students of different learning styles. Teachers should guide students as they develop the educational and spiritual foundation necessary to enter intermediate grades.

Job Summary:

• Teach and act in accordance with the standards set by the Archdiocese of Chicago's Office of Catholic Schools.
• Assist with preparation and presentation of lesson and unit plans in alignment with the CCSS
• Analyze student data to help drive instruction
• Build and maintain a strong school culture centered on academics, leadership, and love
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of our school mission
• Actively participate in PLCs, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth
• Perform and follow all school policies in regards to specific tasks essential to the function of the position
• Staff member will engage in developmentally appropriate behavior management strategies for early childhood students including but not limited to:
• Demonstrate age-appropriate and positive social interactions with students

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a comparable field
• 1-3 years experience in related position

Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently move, stand, and lift up to 10 pounds. As well as, be able to walk up and down steps several times each day and physically respond quickly in an emergency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.80 - $18.00 per hour
