ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are now accepting applications for experienced classroom teachers in all grades and subjects for the 2024-2025 school year. The salary range for teachers new to Match is $61,200-97,920 and is determined by the candidate’s prior years of full-time teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that include;s 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance. OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESTeaching positions are based at our PreK-5 elementary school (100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park), our 6-8 middle school (215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain), or our high school (1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton)Teachers are responsible for: Preparing and delivering classroom instruction and support in Match classrooms-Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;-Communicating regularly and proactively with families;-Participating actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming;Assisting with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and-Serving as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School communityQUALIFICATIONS Research has shown that people of color and women are less likely to apply for jobs if they don’t believe they meet every one of the qualifications described in a job description. We are looking for applicants who:-have at least two years of full-time experience as classroom or special education teacher, preferably in an urban education setting;-hold a valid and appropriate educator license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or -obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire;-believe that all students can and will succeed;-have a desire to continually improve their practice as a teacher by taking and implementing feedback; -have a proven record of student success and achievement; and-demonstrate an ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work.
