MASTHEAD BREWING COMPANY is Hiring an Event Coordinator Near Cleveland, OH

Job Description

We are seeking an events coordinator for our award-winning brewery and restaurant located in Downtown Cleveland. Since opening our doors in January 2017, we have worked tirelessly to establish our brand and reputation as one of the nation’s best new breweries. Our employees are key to our continued success. This is an entry level Event Management position. No experience necessary as long as the candidate has a food and beverage background. Responsibilities

As events coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of taproom events. These may range from simple reservations for parties of twenty or more to complete property buyouts. Successful coordinators will be able to manage the events calendar to properly schedule parties and events, maximizing the availability of the taproom for events and walk-in business. In this role, the coordinator must maintain and manage relationships with existing clientele as well as building relationships with new customers. The event coordinator will work closely with Masthead management to plan and execute special taproom events such as our Anniversary Party, future beer festivals and industry events, buyouts, etc.. Successful coordinators are responsible for the smooth execution of planned events. It is the responsibility of the coordinator to assist in the set up and breakdown of events, communicate effectively with front of house and kitchen staff, and be present and available to event patrons during their events.

Requirements

  • Food and Beverage industry experience is required. Prior event management experience is a plus, but not strictly required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; may accept relevant work experience in place of education.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with superb accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detail and superb record keeping being required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, and in-person communication
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work varied hours based on scheduled events (days, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, between 30 to 40 hours a week)
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently

  • Bartending experience is preferred but not necessary

  • Occasionally lift, push, pull or move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
  • This position has a strong focus on food and beverage hospitality; this is not a sales position.
  • This is not a remote position
