Job Opportunity: Bilingual Hungarian-English Interpreter (In Person)

Location: Houston, TX market

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person interpretation services to individuals with limited English proficiency.
• Assist in bridging communication gaps in various settings, such as healthcare facilities, pharmacies, nursing homes, hospitals, and other community-based organizations.
• Contribute to the well-being of the community by ensuring effective communication and understanding between individuals and service providers.

Requirements:

• Fluency in both Hungarian and English.
• Previous informal or professional interpretation experience.
• Preferably possess at least a two-year degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or have six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not required (e.g., pharmacy tech/pharmacist, nursing home, hospital, hospice, patient tech, practicum hours as part of a nursing program, pharmaceutical rep, CNA, LVN, RN, volunteering at a hospital, etc.).
