Looking for Cooks, Prep Cooks, Garde Manger, Dishwashers of all experience levels.

Pre-Requisites to Accepting the Position

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Health Card
  • Own a vehicle
  • Pass a drug test, background check, and medical screening

Preferences/Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow recipes
  • Versatility between BOH and FOH
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Being able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
  • Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
  • Assist with cleanliness of serving in buffet lines
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
  • Set up and clean station according to food service protocol
  • Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
  • Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
  • Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
  • Heating up food and transporting it to events
  • Cooking at events in front of guests following precise instructions
  • Helping to set up and tear down food station equipment
