As the Director, Strategy, Mastercard Economics Institute (MEI), you will be responsible for the development and execution of MEI objectives, supporting the MEI mission to drive macroeconomic thought leadership for customers, partners and policy makers. The role reports to the Head of Mastercard Economics Institute (MEI) and involves working closely with the MEI leadership team and diverse stakeholders across and outside of Mastercard to deliver on this mission.

Main responsibilities include:

• Lead MEI planning, execution, and measurement. Guide the development and execution of the MEI's strategic plan. Enable execution of priorities via building business cases, investment planning and resource allocation, including participating in product road-mapping and exploring potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and outsourcing. Track progress via cycled commitments (like quarterly reviews) and ongoing KPI-based measurement. Set the agenda for the MEI team's regular meet-ups to track and address key initiatives.
• Enable strategic initiatives and overall achievement of objectives. Lead taskforces, special projects, content creation, and the team's dynamic response across a diverse set of topics. Examples include: compliant data governance, content distribution, government engagement, partnership strategies, external communications, and more. Be a leading and recognized voice representing the MEI.
• Drive effective team engagement, management, and communication. Enable a positive and productive culture thorough team leadership activities including performance management, individual objective setting, mentorship, identifying proactive up-skilling opportunities, and more. Develop relationships within and outside of the team and serve as an overall point person for communications.
