MasTec Advanced Technologies is a preferred contractor for several major companies nationwide. We currently have opportunities for Fiber Installation Technicians to join our team.

Our Fiber Technicians provide high-speed cable TV, phone, and internet installation to residential (and occasionally commercial) customers in the area.

Our technicians perform basic to advanced installation and troubleshooting for fiber optic broadband equipment and services.

They complete installations, repairs, splicing, and integrations to existing infrastructure.

Some essential duties of our fiber technicians are to

• Install, splice, repair, and terminate fiber-optic cables and connectors in both indoor and outdoor settings with new and existing fiber optic infrastructure.
• Maintaining detailed records of installations, repairs, and equipment used. Generate accurate reports on work completed and document network configurations.
• Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility and responsibility in the performance of work assignments
• Ensure that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction.

Pay : $22 - $24

What we require

Essential function of the job requires you to climb ladders. You must be able to meet manufacturer's safety requirements on equipment used.

Candidate's body weight 25 lbs of tools / equipment must not exceed 375 pounds.

• Be able to lift 60-80 pounds and climb 28-36 foot ladders
• Work could be performed in environments that are not heated or air conditioned, and work may be inside or outside, not dependent of weather
• Work could require kneeling, crawling, bending or other positions that may be uncomfortable
• A valid driver's license
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check and MVR (driving record) check
• Be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends or evenings
