Overview VICE PRESIDENTFLEET OPERATIONS MASTEC POWER DELIVERY ROLE SUMMARY MasTec is seeking a transformational Vice President of Fleet Operations to serve as key business leader within the Power Delivery segment. This high profile role will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and partner with operational and fleet leaders across the segment to refine, plan and execute synergy strategies, while also strengthening and supporting our regional operating model. Evaluation and management of fleet investments, maintenance, risk and regulatory compliance, and disposal are all in scope. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with segment, fleet, operational, financial, human resources and other teams to refine strategy, plan, execute, track, measure and report fleet optimization initiatives. Form strong relationships and build communication channels up, down, and across MasTec, Power Delivery, regions, service lines and business units. Foster a culture of transparency, teamwork and accountability.
Drive vision and purpose down through the organization; engage and motivate the team.
Identify and leverage best practices; establish/enhance rigor, improve and/or implement policies, procedures, standards, internal controls, KPIs and reporting; improve visibility- better sharing of data and leverage data to drive better and faster decisions making- enable desired outcomes
Evaluate & leverage segment-wide spending power for cost savings- vendors, systems, programs, & other resources
Lead, plan, coordinate, present and manage fleet budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Partner with Finance to develop modeling/planning tools.
Evaluate structure & talent vs. strategy & priorities; identify, plan & drive optimization- right structure, right talent, clear direction, accountability; identify/execute opportunities to better deploy resources & consolidate administrative services
Protect our people and protect the business- ensure plans consider the safety and health of all employees; ensue and streamline compliance
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Operations Management; Project Management, Lean & Six Sigma, Procurement and/or other industry-specific certifications preferred
15 years of progressive experience in energy infrastructure construction with a heavy focus on fleet management; purchasing/procurement
Demonstrated business acumen- collecting, analyzing, planning, tracking, measuring, reporting and leveraging data to drive improvement and desired outcomes
Hands on Oracle, Vista, JD Edwards or similar ERP systems experience; working knowledge & understanding of financial reporting requirements & systems; experience working w/external auditors, internal controls & compliance related issues
Strong record of building capable, committed and highly effective teams
Demonstrated experience leading teams/organizations through periods of change and ambiguity
