Overview of position
MassMutual Northern California seeking a motivated professional or ambitious college graduate to join our Financial Planning Department!

This role is ideal for anyone interested in getting into the financial services industry and wants to learn about financial planning with the opportunity to obtain Series 7/66 or 6/63/65 securities licenses & CA Life & Health Insurance License.

The Financial Service Team Associate will provide support to our internal Fee-Based Financial Planning Department by performing case analysis enabling the exploration of viable financial solutions for clients. By serving as a value-added resource in this area, the position drives firm productivity by ensuring a thorough review of case options and the best possible solutions for each client to address the client’s holistic planning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Research and determine comprehensive and customized financial solutions for Clients and ensure they meet the firm’s standards
  • Input data and analyze financial planning software output and develop written recommendations as part of a comprehensive financial plan
  • Maintain proactive communication with planners regarding plan design. Follow up and track the progress of all cases.
  • Generates correspondence and composes financial plan descriptions.
  • Continually seeks to expand and enhance personal knowledge of plan development (i.e. - through participation in Company and industry education opportunities). This enables the associate to proactively meet the plan design needs of the firm with new and innovative solutions.
  • Supports other Firm initiatives and projects as requested by management, (such as training, technology, and/or administration)

Results Expected

  • Grow and sustain the integration of business technology tools into firm workflow and advisor practices
  • Provide timely communication and training to all firm associates
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activity leveraging CRM reports and dashboards
  • Effective management of action planning, evaluation and sustainment plans to support firm goals
  • Review and verify data accuracy in financial proposals
  • Maintain a strong support structure and partnership with home office resources

Qualifications (Skills, education, training, and licensure)

  • Results-driven, confident, and a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet concurrent project deadlines
  • Training and facilitation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of practice management functions, processes and systems
  • Proficient and adaptable with technology
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a financial services field or with MassMutual
  • College degree or equivalent industry experience. B.A./B.S. degree in a business discipline preferred
  • Wealth Management and/or knowledge of the securities industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Experience with eMoney or Right Capital preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
