MassMutual Greater Philadelphia has an opportunity for an established Sales Recruiter to lead the firm’s recruiting function and take the reins to establish and execute on a recruiting strategy to achieve the firm’s growth goals.

Job Summary

This role supports the firm’s recruitment strategy to meet the Firm’s growth goals. And partners with Sales Management to build a strong presence in the communities we serve, to provide a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates of professional financial advisors (1099 Independent Contractors).

Responsibilities

Provide support for the recruiting effort to include:

  • Develop centers of influences, referrals, and nominators within the community through a sustained level of weekly activity to include interviews, phone calls, referral meetings, networking etc.
  • Prospecting for candidates through personal sources (i.e., business associates, industry contacts)
  • Seek candidates through impersonal sources (i.e., job fairs, licensed producer lists via Discovery Database)
  • Drive agency agent referral program: develop campaigns, recruiting/marketing initiatives, and other lead generation activities within the agency.
  • Attend MassMutual recruiting and training schools, teleconferences, and other relevant events.
  • Participate in study groups to seek out, suggest and implement new ideas and best practices.
  • Schedule and conduct Pre-screening phone calls and Attraction Interviews.
  • Maintain supply of recruiting brochures, licensing schools and recruiting/marketing pieces.
  • Enter recruit information into tracking system to track all activity and results.
  • Run pipeline-recruiting reports weekly and as needed.
  • Communicate MassMutual recruiting updates and changes to the agency recruiting team.
  • Administer and track completion pre-qualification tests
  • Follow candidates through the entire recruiting and selection through contracting, licensing, training, and fast start phases of the process.
  • Lead/attend weekly recruiting meeting, make recommendations, and advise of recruit’s status.


Measurement Criteria

Recruiting

Results in line with agency’s annual and quarterly goals

  • Adherence to agency’s activity standards for names, calls, interviews, and/or other determined metrics.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of information
  • Individual and agency recruiting results as compared to business plan

Self-Development

  • Development and completion of annual plan and 12 Week Year every period
  • Written report to Managing Partner of courses completed, classes, etc.
  • Evidence of new skills/knowledge used on the job

Qualifications

Required

  • College degree or equivalent background
  • Five years of recruiting experience with at least two being in the Financial Services industry
  • High energy, highly motivated individual
  • Detail-focused individual
  • Goal oriented
  • Confident in ability to build relationships, connect and network

Recommended

  • Actively involved in the community
  • Executive Search or headhunting experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Proven ability to ask for referrals in a prior career
  • Comfortable with commission sales
