Community Child Psychiatry Position at MGH Charlestown Health Care Center
The Behavioral Health Unit at MGH Charlestown Health Care Center, in conjunction with the MGH Department of Psychiatry, is recruiting applicants for an exciting role caring for children and families in a community health center setting, deeply integrated into the community of Charlestown MA. The Behavioral Health Unit is an important, vibrant part of the overall health center with a key role in providing mental health and substance use care for children, youth and families in the Charlestown area. The Behavioral Health team consists of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social worker, trainees, and administrators. The unit operates in a team based care model, and closely collaborates with the Pediatric team. Additional supports include community health navigators and support from the Pediatrics unit on the main MGH campus.
This position will have an active clinical role and work in partnership with the Unit Chief who manages daily operations. This role currently is comprised of the following components:
Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Experience in providing psychopharmacological care to children and adolescents in a community based setting, and consultation to families
