The Department of Psychiatry at MGH is seeking a Clinical Research Project Manager to work on studies within the Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory of Sex Differences in the Brain (CNL-SD), part of the Innovation Center on Sex Differences in Medicine (ICON-X). The CNL-SD consists of an interdisciplinary team of investigators integrating structural and functional brain imaging studies, psychophysiology, neuroendocrine studies of hormones and brain function, genetics, and biomarkers of immune function. The studies for which we are currently recruiting are collaborative projects investigating the shared pathophysiologies that underlie sex-dependent risk for major depressive disorder (MDD), cardiovascular disease (CVD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). One study is the investigation of early risk factors for sex differences in Alzheimer's Disease and memory decline, focusing on the roles of hormones, genes, and inflammatory factors in understanding sex effects in memory function and comorbidity with cardiometabolic outcomes. The goal of another study is to develop a diagnostic tool for identifying biomarkers and targets for the risk for Alzheimer's disease in early midlife. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Skills and Competencies Required:
*Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, cross-functional communication and decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders
*Exceptional organizational skills and ability to organize time and priorities effectively, asking for direction when appropriate. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and deadline pressures.
*Sound judgment, problem solving, leadership, and collaboration in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to problems.
*Ability to work independently under the general direction of the PI, make effective and timely decisions and seek guidance when appropriate.
*Self-motivated and takes ownership/initiative.
*Strong analytical skills with a data driven approach to planning, executing, and problem solving
*Excellent interpersonal/communications skills and a good command of English language, including medical and scientific terminology.
*Exceptional computer skills (including operating systems, word processing, database, electronic mail, Internet, and spreadsheets)
Education:
Master's degree preferred, in public health, health management, research management, neuroscience, psychology, psychobiology, gender studies, or related discipline. Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
2 years of related research experience required (3 for Bachelor's). Understanding of basics of clinical research is required.
