Job Description

Position Overview

MassCEC is looking for a talented student interested in photography, videography, marketing, communications, and web design to help produce and manage MassCEC’s photo and video content for social media and our website. The intern will be a member of MassCEC’s fast-paced Communications team.

You'll assist our Communications and Marketing Team by supporting initiatives such as filming and photographing events, creating short videos, and Canva and Adobe design projects. You’ll correspond with over 30 organizations that we sponsor, create sponsorship contracts, process approvals of contracts, and manage the payment of sponsorship invoices. You’ll also edit and publish blog posts and success stories on the website, prepare for MassCEC’s presence at public events and conferences, and support strategic communications projects. You may work on elements of our consumer-facing Clean Energy Lives Here campaign.

You should be available to work from our office in Boston at least one day per week. You'll regularly collaborate with MassCEC staff members who are in the office or working from home. The ideal candidate should be organized, have a strong sense of storytelling and be able to work with MassCEC staff to identify outcomes from our programs that would make visually compelling stories. Team projects include writing for the web, creating videos and images for social media, and event planning encompassing correspondence with partner organizations.

The candidate is encouraged to share a small portfolio or a writing sample. This can include an online portfolio, a paper and/or school coursework – you should not create something new, just send us a piece you’ve already written.

The internship program at MassCEC includes various educational and networking opportunities, including:
