Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time, non-unit position with no benefits. The purpose of the position is to assist students in the Transitional Scholars Program, a program for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities, with academic work and campus life.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the inclusion of students with disabilities;
  • Attend classes with students;
  • Support students in development of study skills and strategies;
  • Assist students in accessing college services and resources;
  • Encourage appropriate college behavior;
  • Foster student independence; including help with social skills and functional life skills;
  • Help students with time management, organization and other executive functioning skills;
  • Work as a member of a team, with the ability to communicate with faculty and staff;
  • Send weekly email updates to supervisors regarding student progress;
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding educational information and records;
  • Provide coverage of other Educational Coaches in the event of an absence;
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

$26 per hour
