Mass General Brigham is Hiring a Data Analyst II for Multicultural Aging Program Near Boston, MA

The Data Analyst II will be responsible for analysis, interpretation and reporting of clinical and neuroimaging data to support a range of research projects, including the Healthy Aging and Resilient Brain Study, the Boston Latino Aging Study, and the Colombia-Boston Biomarker Study. Reporting to the Director of MAPP, the Data Analyst II works directly with the other members of the MAPP team as well as individuals at various levels throughout the organization. S/he must be able to work independently, and collaboratively, to develop metrics and document data requirements according to project specifications. The Data Analyst II will maintain various databases and be accountable for the timely and accurate production of routine monitoring reports as well as special projects. This requires experience working with clinical ane neuroimaging databases/reporting, along with creativity and initiative to evolve the data reporting systems to meet the needs of the changing healthcare environment. S/he will need a thorough understanding of the data/information quality principles in medical imaging data management, as well as manipulation and interpretation of large databases in an academic medical center environment.

Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in healthcare, information systems or related field or related work experience strongly preferred. A minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience in the healthcare field.

  • Strong computer skills (MS Access and MS Office a must, SAS, R and report writer a plus).
  • Thorough knowledge of databases and computer software, including Excel, Access for database functions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in manipulating and interpreting clinical and neuroimaging databases.
  • Superior organizational, written/verbal and presentation skills, and the ability to work well with individuals at all levels within institution.
  • Independent learner who can acquire the necessary software skills to get the job done.
  • Ability to work with staff within all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify problems and follow problems through until resolved.
