Clinical Dietitian , MGH Cancer Center - Outpatient Nutrition Services

Responsibilities: As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in providing patient-focused nutrition care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Communicating with patients, family members, and significant others to obtain comprehensive health histories and nutrition information.
• Analyzing nutrition and health assessment data to identify nutrition-related problems and develop care plans.
• Educating patients and their families about diet modifications and individualized nutrition plans.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition recommendations into patient care.
• Precepting and instructing dietetic interns during their rotations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related subject (Master's degree preferred).
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Licensed Dietitian in the Commonwealth of MA.
• Clinical experience is desirable but not required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication and counseling skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and make effective decisions.
• Understanding of the interdependence of nutrition care areas.
• Proficiency in organizing work and adapting to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with CMS guidelines related to medical nutrition therapy coverage.
