Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Warminster Campus - is immediately hiring an RN: Nurse Supervisor for Full Time position working Evenings!

What You'll Do:

As an RN Supervisor, you will carry out our Mission of Love by ensuring the care of our residents is provided in a safe, caring, timely, and appropriate manner by maintaining the appropriate competencies and skills through continuing education that encompasses all of these areas. This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Our RN Supervisor is responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for assisting with staff scheduling and covering open shifts as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Director of Nursing to ensure maintenance of adequate staffing for the community.
  • Coverage of open shifts includes holiday coverage when necessary to maintain adequate staffing for the community.
  • Assures appropriate amounts of time on the unit to demonstrate support of employees and all other customers, to assure problem solving and identify future opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide sincere praise and recognition to employees, especially within assigned areas of responsibility. Seek opportunities to observe staff doing their jobs well.
  • Delegates to nursing charge personnel with the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.
  • Fulfills the roles of nursing staff as needed in staffing shortage situations.
  • Collaborates with Director of Nursing, other managers and Human Resources personnel regarding nursing staff recruitment, interviews, and selection of employees.
  • Assists with the interview process of internal candidates for open positions through our formalized selection process.
  • Supports the mentoring program for new employees.
  • Assures timely completion of Performance Appraisal Conference (PAC) for nursing employees.
  • Provides corrective action per the Masonic Village Personnel Policy Handbook and recommends termination of employment of nursing personnel from their area of responsibility as necessary.
  • Supports the quality improvement initiative including nursing quality assurance.
  • Assures and/or conducts monitoring of documentation in geriatric resident care practices for assigned resident care areas to assure compliance with acceptable standards.
  • Serves as the facility Infection Preventionist.
  • Obtains and maintains certificate in Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Leads and coordinates the quarterly Infection Control Committee meetings.
  • Review concerns, complaints and grievances filed by employees, residents, or families/responsible parties.
  • Takes necessary steps to resolve same in conjunction with Social Services, DON, Executive Director.
  • Responsible for coordination of resident clinical care & participating in the interdisciplinary care planning process.
  • Acts as a liaison between departments and communicates with primary care providers to ensure resident care needs are adequately met.
  • Assists with PA DOH survey preparedness.

What You Have:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Two years recent experience in a long-term care environment including satisfactory experience in a leadership role.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to long term care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • CPR certification required prior to or upon hire.
