About the Certified Nursing Assistant/Registered Medication Aide (CNA/RMA):
The Certified Nursing Assistant / Registered Medication Aide protects, sustains, and nurtures the Residents of MAHOVA by assisting with person-centered activities of daily living and by administering prescribed medications and authorized treatments to residential and assisted living Residents in a respectful, kind, and caring manner. Other duties as assigned. The shift for this position is 3 pm -11 pm, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant/Registered Medication Aide (CNA/RMA)::
Assists residents with person-centered bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring, promoting skin integrity, nutrition, hydration, mobility, and safety in compliance with policies and procedures.
Proficiently uses all required functions related to the Electronic Medication Administration System. Administers medications and treatments in compliance with the Home’s policy and procedure.
Monitors assisted living residents’ conditions during every two-hour round and more frequently as indicated and follows up as appropriate.
Documents observations completely and legibly.
Qualifications of the Certified Nursing Assistant/Registered Medication Aide (CNA/RMA):
Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Registered Medication Aide by the Virginia Department of Health Professions; CPR and First Aid certified
Previous experience in healthcare with a general knowledge of assisted daily living needs required, preferably in a long-term care or continuing care retirement community setting serving the elderly; one-year experience as a CNA / Registered Medication Aide preferred.
High School Graduate; graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant Program; and successful completion of State Registered Medical Aide educational requirements.41178% %%mednurse%%
