Activity Assistant Job Specification :

Work closely with our Activities Director to plan and implement recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for our residents.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating engaging programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Activity Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of daily activities and special events for residents.
• Engage residents in a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities based on their interests and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one support and encouragement to residents who may need assistance participating in activities.
• Help maintain a clean and organized activity area, including setting up and cleaning up after activities.
• Document resident participation and behavior during activities.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the needs and preferences of residents are met.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that promotes social interaction and overall well-being.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience working with seniors in a healthcare or recreational setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
