We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Leasing Agent to work at our location in Columbus, OH.

The Commercial Leasing Agent needed to direct the operations and marketing efforts of 140-160 residential and commercial units in the Central Ohio area. Successful candidates for consideration will understand leasing, sales techniques, be entrepreneurial-minded, take accountability for their performance and results, have exceptional references in the industry and have the drive to succeed.

Candidate must perform well under pressure, maintain a positive attitude at all times, have the ability to create and have fun while accomplishing the goals of the company, have the desire and ability to motivate self and staff, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have years of experience in providing exceptional customer service.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

• Strong administrative, leasing and office skills a MUST
• Ensures spaces are ready for move-in and showing
• Knowledgeable of leasing and collection procedures
• Maintain tenant leasing requirements and ensure screening compliance
• Answer multi-line phone system and assist clients as needed
• Advertising vacancies; obtaining referrals from current tenants; explaining advantages of location and services
• Drafting and explaining leases to tenants
• Assist with collecting rents; paying bills; forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
• Handle tenant complaints and resolve issues swiftly
• Assist with contracting outside vendors as needed for services such as landscaping and snow removal
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Responsible for leasing and maintaining tenants - both residential and commercial

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years conventional/market rate property leasing experience in residential and commercial leasing
• Experience must include management of office personnel and maintenance technicians
• High School diploma required; bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet
• Ability to travel to various locations (e.g., customer sites, other company offices) as needed
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with others
• Ability to work with other team members as well as independently
• Cooperative, team-oriented, patient, calm under pressure
• Ability to produce results within an autonomous environment, within company guidelines and have the flexibility to identify and respond to changes in priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to all clients (customers and employees)
• Ability to advise, counsel, guide and influence the opinions and decisions of others (e.g. customers and employees)
• Ability to analyze and evaluate people, data and things to determine courses of action
• Strong sales cycle knowledge and ability to "close the sale"
