Our client is seeking a General Laborer to undertake manual tasks and provide support on job sites with fireplace installation.

A primary responsibility of the general laborer is to aid the Lead in equipment installation and maintaining cleanliness and safety by collecting waste and debris. You will also be tasked with operating power tools and handling materials such as saws and drills.

The ideal candidate has a construction background with physical endurance and the capacity to lift heavy objects. The ability to focus on tasks and adhere to safety protocols is essential. Responsibilities:

• Clear work sites of hazardous or obsolete materials.
• Assist installers, service technicians, or other tradespeople on-site
• Help lead installer with cutting hard stone, framing, and tear down of existing structures.
• Transport materials (e.g., cement) and equipment (e.g., drills and grinders).
• Operate power tools and machinery (e.g., forklifts) as necessary.
• Follow supervisors' instructions for manual labor tasks (e.g., digging, stacking goods, completing installations).
• Erect warning signs (e.g., cones, signposts) for vehicles and pedestrians.
• Assist in setting up and relocating temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding).
• Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions.
• Help out in shop with answering phone calls

Requirements:

• Ability to fulfill physical job demands (e.g., standing for extended periods, lifting loads up to 40 pounds).
• Proficient hand-eye coordination.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery preferred.
• Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines.
• Ideal candidate has a construction background

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
