The Office of Community Service and Social Justice, located within Campus Ministry, seeks a full-time graduate assistant to support the administrative work of researching, planning, communicating, evaluating and facilitating all details related to the day-to-day operation of Pacer Pantry. The primary focus of a full-time GA will be coordinating Pacer Pantry, Marywood's campus-based food pantry. This involves work with student volunteers (promote, recruit, train, supervise), community partners (inventory, logistics, stocking items), and other campus departments such as Student Health Services to continue to improve upon the day-to-day operations of Pacer Pantry to meet the increasing needs of students facing food insecurity. In addition, this GA will work collaboratively with the Director of Community Service and Social Justice to research emerging trends and determine opportunities to more effectively respond to student needs, as recommended by the PA Hunger-Free Campus Coalition, of which Marywood is a designated institution. This position requires a commitment to the mission and core values of Marywood, an interest in community engagement and social justice advocacy, organizational skills, attention to details, skill in collaboration and teamwork, and strong oral and written communication skills.
