Will learn the proper use and kinds of tooling used in different applications by setting important parameters that are needed to make the CNC function properly. Selecting the right tool, fixing it into the CNC spindle and torquing it into the spindle. Use all hand tools associated with the process. Assist the shop manager with clamping methods and vacuum hold down for the piece being cut. Proper way to load and unload the material being cut on the CNC. Work with shop manager to develop new methods for cutting and experimenting with new materials and ideas related to the CNC.
