We are seeking an energetic and experienced Activity Assistant for Marymount Manor, Long Term Care and Memory Care facility. This position assists every other Saturday and Sunday, 8a-4p

Activity Assistant Qualifications

• Previous experience in Activities with the elderly a plus
• Long term care experience is a plus

Activity Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other department the needs of the residents with diversion and creative activities
• Work with Memory Care residents on cognitive development activites
• Conduct activities in coordination with Activities Director
• Participate in the development and implementation of the assessment process and the residents care plan
• Follow the regulations as outlined by CMS and DHSS
• Support a balance of recreational activities including physical, social, religious, diversional, intellectual and creative art and crafts
• Participate in Resident council as needed
• Ensure inclusivity of all residents
• Document in the residents’ physical chart the progress of the residents in activities
• Distribute mail and assist residents in need with opening and reading
• Assist in the dining room(s) during meal times as needed
• Assist with transporting residents to appointments and activities as needed
