The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) is a member of the US Soccer Federation as a National State Association and is affiliated with US Youth Soccer. MSYSA serves as the primary advocate for the amateur sport of youth soccer in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia. MSYSA is dedicated to offering the highest quality soccer education, player development, and programs while fostering sportsmanship, fitness, diversity, teamwork, and passion for the game.
Established in 1976, the MSYSA proudly serves a membership of over 210 affiliate clubs and leagues typically registering 75 ,000 players and thousands of coaches, administrators, and volunteers. The MSYSA state office is located in Glenwood, Maryland.
Job Description:
Due to the success of our Let’s Play! program we are adding a new Let’s Play! Coordinator to our team.
The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) Deputy State Youth Referee Administrator (SYRA) supports the SYRA in overseeing all referee needs for all MSYSA administered programs, cups, and events. The Deputy SYRA assigns referees for many matches each year to include a number of MSYSA sanctioned tournaments and leagues. In addition to working collaboratively with certified assignors and other members of the referee community, the Maryland Deputy SYRA coordinates professional development opportunities for participating referees and provides insights and recommendations for how to improve recruitment and retention of referees. The duties within the job description are listed below.
The Deputy State Youth Referee Administrator position is full-time, exempt, and reports directly to the MSYSA Executive Director. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
