Overall purpose of the position: The Regional Program Coordinator (RPC) is responsible for supporting the Eastern Region (Kent, Queen Anne’s, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester Counties) of the state by problem-solving partner questions and challenges, coordinating partner communications via emails, phone calls, and performing field visits. Typical work includes coordinating applications, onboarding, and performing site inspections for new and existing partners according to MFB compliance guidelines. The coordinator will schedule virtual and in-person meetings and partner visits, track information for partners and stakeholders, support the planning and organizing of regular partner events, pull data/reports, and keep partner data current.


Education and Experience: High
school diploma or GED required. At least (2) years in a relevant field of work, handling support tasks and customer service needs is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word), including Excel. Proven professional written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service/Communication: The RPC will receive and respond to questions, concerns, and issues from the partner network with professionalism and a customer-service focus. They will listen, identify the problem or question and propose a solution, seek out the answer, escalate the issue if appropriate, and respond in a timely and accurate manner. The RPC will build relationships with partners by being responsive, professional, and proactive.

New Partner Inquiries and Onboarding: Respond to inquiries about partnership with the Maryland Food Bank, providing information requested about partnership options, and next steps, answering commonly asked questions. Organize and track prospective partners’ journeys through the onboarding process, answering questions, reviewing, and managing files, tracking training attendance, and scheduling preliminary site visits. Work closely with the Regional Program Director (RPD) to determine the next steps and communicate on behalf of the team, as needed.

Compliance Support: The RPC will work together with the RPD to meet all partner site inspection requirements by keeping an ongoing site inspection calendar, scheduling site inspections, assisting partners with pre-work requests, performing site inspections, and following up with partners for final paperwork after a site inspection is completed. Help manage partner files to support the RPD in ensuring that all are complete and audit-ready.

Regional Gatherings: Regional Gatherings are local in-person partner events that are held on a regular cadence throughout the year and are a central element of the team’s work. The RPC will provide administrative support to the RPD in all phases of planning, scheduling, hosting, tracking, and follow-up for Regional Gatherings, and is expected to attend all of these in-person meetings in various locations across the region.

Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: This role will work on a hybrid schedule, with on-site or fieldwork required at least 3 days per week. Please note that during your first 90 days of employment, You may be required to be in the office as part of your training and onboarding.
