MDOT MAA is currently accepting applications for the position of Manager of IT Security (Administrator IV) within the Office of Infrastructure Services at the Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).
The Manager of IT Security oversees information security (InfoSec) support covering all aspects of MAA’s IT infrastructure within the Division of Airport Technology.
The roles and responsibilities of this management position include, but are not limited to:
  •  Establish and maintain an IT infrastructure that protects the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and accountability of all MAA IT systems, devices, and services.
  • Ensure MAA is compliant with Federal, State, DoIT, MDOT, and MAA IT security-related statutes, regulations, and policies.
  • Ensure that risks to information security are identified and controls implemented to mitigate these risks.
This position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD.
QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
  • Five years of experience in administrative or professional work.
One year of this experience must have involved one or more of the following:
  • The supervision of other employees, overseeing and coordinating the general operations of a unit, applying rules and regulations, or exercising responsibility for the development of policies or procedures.
  • Two years of experience must involve information technology security such as endpoint security management, performing host vulnerability assessments, firewall management, managing data loss prevention, performing data security audits, and writing and/or implementing IT Security policies, regulations and/or statutes.
The ideal candidate will have one of the following:
  • CompTIA A Security Certification
  • CISCO CISSP ( Certified Information Systems Security).
Notes:
1. Additional experience in administrative or professional work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Additional graduate-level education at an accredited college or university may be substituted at the rate of 30 semester credit hours on a year-to-year basis for the required general experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Employees in this classification will be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
