Mary T. Inc is Hiring a Music and Marketing Coordinator Crooners Near Minneapolis, MN

The Mary T Family of Companies is seeking a part-time Music and Marketing Coordinator for Crooners Supper Club located in Fridley, Minnesota.

The Music and Marketing Coordinator will provide direct support to the Director of Music at Crooners by handling a variety of marketing and administrative tasks.

The position will be part-time, approximately 20-25 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC JOB DUTIES

  • Ensure regular information flow with box office manager, operation manager and website manager on shows and any changes.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR colleagues, monitoring ticket sales daily, and assist in developing marketing strategies and initiatives. Routinely update artists and their representatives regarding ticket numbers for shows, particularly when sales are anemic.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for daily communication with acts.
  • Foster relationships, curate and provide information to Music Director to book shows.
  • Work with local artists and/or their representatives to develop new concepts and shows.
  • Scout and recruit new acts, talent and shows from Metro area.
  • Act as an ambassador and advocate for Crooners Supper Club with artists, booking agents and music scene.
  • Communicate comp ticket policy to acts and connect them with the box office.
  • Act Relations:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for marketing communication with acts.
    • Direct potential acts to the artist submission form on the Crooners website.
    • Solicit show titles, descriptions, links, bios and images from acts for promotional use.
    • Edit, proof-read and format promotional materials.
    • Create show listings and collections in EventBrite, delete shows from collections after performances.
    • Extract Facebook events and invite acts to co-host.
    • Send ticketing links to acts.
    • Create direct marketing emails in EventBrite and send to past ticket buyers of upcoming acts.
    • Import new EventBrite listings to the Wordpress plug-in on the Crooners website as shows are listed.
    • Update artists and their representatives regarding ticket sales for shows.
    • Provide acts with policies and contact information for the technical director and the box office.
    • Program a series of weekly displays of performer names appearing at Crooners on the digital marquee.
  • Staff Relations:
    • Provide marketing partners with ticketing links and contact information for acts.
    • Create monthly show calendar for publicist to send to media contacts.
    • Provide ticketing links and contact information for acts to publicist.
    • Submit weekly featured act for the Crooners website homepage to website manager.
    • Submit newly listed shows with ticketing links weekly to email newsletter designer.
    • Meet weekly with staff to coordinate promotional efforts.
    • Make revisions and cancellations in EventBrite as advised by music director; advise ticket buyers and box office of cancellations and rescheduling of shows.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION
EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years administrative support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Advanced computer skills; technologically inclined
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, handle confidential information with discretion and problem solve
  • Ability to adapt to competing demands
