Certification/License requirements and processing time: Processing 5-6 weeks, unable to get a hold of any rep at FL Board to check on Temp license

On call requirements: none
OT policy: no OT
Float requirements: may need to float to other sites, 20-40 minutes apart from Lady Lake.
Ratios: 1 patient for every 30 minutes, about 16-18 per day.
EMR: Pen and Paper Charting. Must Write legibly.
Experience required: Wants OP Ortho exp 1 yr (Carpal Tunnel, Lateral Epicondylitis, Tendon Flexor Repairs, Joint Implants, CMC Arthroplasty, Amputations). Will not take anybody who has only worked in SNF.
COVID/Flu Vaccine Required: Not required.
Dress Code: Scrubs any kind, closed toed shoes, no exposed tattoos, prefer no facial piercings except ears, no strong perfumes.
Interview prep: Deb will interview. Deal breaker- must team player, working with 4-5 other COTAs, leader, understand that you ask questions outside of patients’ earshot. No big egos. #1 dealbreaker- must have active listening skills.
Client Sizzle: Near the Villages, lakes for boating, weekends 1.5 hrs from Tampa and Orlando, suburb of Ocala (horse capitol of the world), horses, rolling hills, new equestrian center, some Olympians are there working on horses.
