Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. Your role will involve verification of insurance benefits, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register new patients and update existing patient information
- Schedule appointments and manage the schedule
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
- Previous experience is preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurance benefits and exclusions
- Proficiency in office software such as Eaglesoft is desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy
