Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, be knowledgeable in CAD and Eaglesoft software, and possess excellent patient assessment and medical imaging skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced dental practice and contribute to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, passing instruments and materials to the dentist
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history
- Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Provide assistance with all dental procedures as needed
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant role
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing dental restorations
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques
- Ability to take accurate dental X-rays and perform medical imaging tasks
- Excellent patient assessment skills, with the ability to identify oral health issues
- Understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
