Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier/Stocker at a Japanese grocery store. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and ensuring the store shelves are stocked and organized. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process cash transactions accurately using a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Stock shelves with merchandise and ensure proper placement
- Assist customers in locating products and provide product information
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and inventory management
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist customers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Multilingual abilities are a plus (especially Japanese and Spanish)
- Proficient in using technology, including POS systems
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in retail sales or wireless sales is preferred but not required
- Cash handling experience is a plus

Advancement is skills-based rather than tenure. We are also searching for purchasing and management roles.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
