MARTINS FAMOUS PASTRY SHOPPE is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician Near Roll, PA

As a member of the Martin’s family, a Facilities Maintenance Technician performs all aspects of facilities maintenance while adhering to safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.

Essential Duties and  Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Inspects plant facilities to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required and notifies management concerning need for major repairs.
  • Performs maintenance, repairs, and renovations of buildings.
  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Oversees and assists with construction of new buildings and renovations of existing buildings.
  • Takes actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
  • Inspects and reviews construction projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Confers with other departments regarding concerns with the operation, repair, maintenance and construction of facilities, buildings, and grounds.
  • Adheres to safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Reports safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Associate’s degree; or
  • One to three years’ related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other  Knowledge,  Skills and  Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of building codes, wiring , ventilation and testing applications within construction industry.

  • Ability to read  and interpret  blueprints  and  schematics .

  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance .

Other  Qualifications:

  • Must be able to travel to facilities outside local area when required.
