Martinez Geospatial is Hiring an Office Survey Technician Near Saint Paul, MN
Office Survey Technician
Martinez Geospatial has an immediate opening for a full-time Office Survey Technician. The Office Survey Technician will assist the Project Manager with various survey-related tasks for a wide-variety of projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Process conventional land surveying and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) field data.
· Register high-definition laser scanning (HDS), simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), and/or mobile LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data. (Training will be provided, as necessary.)
· Draft boundary surveys, topographic surveys, etc. under the direction of a licensed Land Surveyor.
· Research existing survey records.
· Perform boundary and construction layout computations.
· Transfer electronic data files.
· Review survey fieldwork for accuracy and completeness.
· Communicate the progress of each project with the Project Manager and Survey Crew Chief daily.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School diploma or GED minimum.
· Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
· Solid understanding of land surveying principals and technical standards.
· Basic understanding of engineering, architectural, and aerial photogrammetry principals.
· Acute attention to detail.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Stereo vision is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
