What will you do?

In this role, you will analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control climate and prevent illnesses and injuries caused by chemical, physical or ergonomic factors.

The EHS Specialist also ensures conformances with Federal, State and local environmental regulations and ordinances.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Inspect, audit, sample and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Facilitate safety training and learning programs for employee and management development and for regulatory compliance.
  • Administer and oversee safety and environmental compliance practices relative to workplace practices and operations.
  • Ongoing audit and inspection of operations and coordinate improvements for compliance with safety and environmental standards
  • Facilitate the investigation of accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented.
  • Recommend measures to help protect people from hazardous work methods, processes or materials.
  • Maintain inventories of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes, using waste tracking systems in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Examine permits, licenses, applications and records to ensure compliance with requirements..
  • Research and stay abreast of all pertinent information and developments in areas such as OSHA, ANSI and EPA regulations.
  • Schedule : 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Science or other relevant technical degree and 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and teams to lead EHS initiatives.
  • Attention to details while managing multiple projects and prioritizing work.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative relationship with various departments, regulatory agencies and local government.
  • Excellent and professional interpersonal communication and report writing skills

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the company's Paragould, AR branch to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
