Martin Marietta is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Planner Near Carmel, IN

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Regional Maintenance Planner to be based in the Indianapolis area.This person would report to the Regional Manager, Mobile Fleet.The primary responsibility would be to assist in the collaborative development, planning, and coordination of a preventative maintenance program and major equipment repairs.

Essential Functions

·Assist Regional Mobile Fleet Manager in the development and administration of preventive maintenance programs and a work order system; coordinate maintenance activities from prediction to planning and scheduling to execution to closeout and reporting.

·Develop mid to long-term maintenance plans for mobile and plant equipment.

·Assist others in developing programs and practices to optimize the economic life of plant and mobile equipment.

·Assist in the development of equipment inspection procedures by operations and maintenance department to ensure that proper actions are being taken to maximize equipment uptime and to keep the equipment in good working condition.

·Implement and maintain predictive maintenance practices.

·Assist in analysis and continual development of a program for rebuilding or replacing major components of mobile and plant equipment.

·Participate in the budgeting process and cost control.

·Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and vendors to maintain inventories of critical spare parts.

·Responsible for building and maintaining effective, efficient, detailed PM documents and asset registries in a computerized maintenance management system.(JD Edwards)

·Other duties as required by the Mobile Fleet Manager

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·Related college degree preferred or equivalent experience in maintenance or procurement.

·5 years of experience in industrial maintenance required.

·Strong mechanical aptitude and mobile equipment maintenance experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·Demonstrated safety mindset and ability to lead others to improve the safety of work practices.

·Ability to recognize specific and general hazards and apply sound practices to mitigate each.

·Excellent strategic planning, organizational and time management skills

·Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other common office and data analytic systems – JD Edwards Maintenance experience preferred but not required.

·Must be able to read and write to complete required daily reports, training guides and inspection documents; understand equipment manuals and regulatory compliance; strong verbal communication skills

·Must be self-driven with minimal supervision with the ability to work with all levels of workforce, management, and outside resources

·Process oriented, but continually measuring results and making thoughtful recommendations to improve processes.

·Solid understanding of mechanical drawings, assemblies, and methods

·Ability to contribute to or lead problem solving meetings.Training in RCA methods is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·Lift up to 35 pounds

·Visual acuity, clear speech & hearing ability, hand/eye coordination

·Walking, climbing stairs and occasional ladders, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, repetitive motion, driving, and squatting to perform the essential functions of this position

·Sitting for extended periods of time

·Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment as required

·Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to safely fulfill all in-plant job requirements

·Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions

·Able to work in industrial environment around hot, noisy process equipment

·Pass required background check, physical examination and drug screens
