JOB OPPORTUNITY: KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School for the 2024-25 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to profoundly impact the educational journey of our students.

Situated on a 35-acre campus in the heart of Mandarin, our school operates on a dual curriculum basis, dividing the school day into General Studies and Judaic Studies. This unique structure allows for a minimum of 2.5 daily planning hours for General Studies teachers.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards
  • Teach lessons to whole and small groups that are both age-appropriate and address individual student needs
  • Identify and respond to individual student learning styles and create engaging learning opportunities to meet varying needs and interests
  • Foster a love of learning and encourage student creativity through hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and creative exploration
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering respectful relationships with students through conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques
  • Prepare and administer assessments in order to evaluate student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student progress and achievement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in classroom teaching
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of child development and best practices in education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology in the classroom
