The Martin and Edith Stein Hospice, an agency of The Oscar and Ella Wilf Campus for Senior Living, is currently in search of Per Diem Registered Nurses to join our team. We are an out-patient hospice dedicated to quality assurance with an emphasis on a strong foundation of family, community, long-term commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit. We are located in Somerset, however, our patients are throughout Middlesex and surrounding counties.

PRIMARY DUTIES

HOSPICE RN- ON-CALL - PER DIEM

• FRIDAY 5PM - SATURDAY 8AM (15 HRS)
• SATURDAY 8AM - SATURDAY 8PM (12 HR)
• SATURDAY 8PM - SUNDAY 8AM (12 HRS)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Valid and Current NJ RN licensure.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Excellent observation, verbal, written communication skills.
• Excellent record of compliant EMR-based documentation.
• Able and willing to drive to varied locations.
• At least three years of Hospice experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to withstand prolonged or considerable stationary positions.
• Able to push, pull, and position items up to 80 pounds from different positions and at different heights.
• Able to move, transport, position, balance, remove, or manipulate patients, supplies, and/or equipment.
• Able to complete tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles such as stooping, reaching, bending, kneeling and/or crouching.
• Able to communicate appropriately with individuals, including the population we serve, in person and on the telephone in situations with background.
• Visual acuity to perform required nursing skills.
