Job Title: Quality Manager Cost Center: 301451016 MqaHos-Quality Improvement Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Employee Type: Regular Work Shift: Mon-Fri; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (United States of America) Job Description: JOB SUMMARY The Quality Manger is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing development of hospital-wide programs that enhance patient care, Quality and Case Management. This individual will have a high degree of expertise in quality improvement and actively working with Medical Staff and various departments to measure analyze and improve processes with continuous improvement methods. The Quality Manager coordinates activities with accrediting agencies, most notably The Joint Commission (JC). JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation. Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Preferred/Optional: Master’s degree in nursing or related field. EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: Three years’ of patient care experience or healthcare quality experience. Advanced training and/or experience in continuous quality improvement. Training in quantitative methods and statistical analysis. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated computer skills to include Word and Excel. Preferred/Optional: Supervisory experience. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position. Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License if applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred/Optional: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
