Dynamic and growing retail company is seeking a Store Technology - POS Administrator!

We're seeking an experienced Store Technology – POS Administrator with proven experience in modern endpoint management platforms and security to join our Store Technology team. This role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a secure, standardized client and mobility environment. The ideal candidate must function as a subject matter expert for endpoint management and provide escalation support for complex endpoint issues.

What You'll Do

  • Implement and provide maintenance of Store Technology endpoint environment including patching, application packaging and deployment
  • Establish a patch management cadence, protocol and ensure all endpoints are consistently updated to mitigate potential threats
  • Actively research, recommend, and implement improvements to our existing infrastructure and processes to improve efficiency and security.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for escalated client issues to develop and implement long-term solutions and system enhancements
  • Design, test, validate and implement large scale, enterprise endpoint solutions, including device configurations, operating system deployments, and software distribution
  • Partner with L1 and L2 support teams to stage, image, pack, ship, and repair systems for new and existing stores
  • Document system configurations, deployment processes, and changes within the environment
  • Partner with the WHSNA Security Team to develop and maintain endpoint security standards in line with WHSNA’s security policies and best practices
  • Create standardized client configurations, including operating systems and software, ensuring deployment feasibility with both new and existing hardware
  • Oversee the deployment, management, and administration of endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft InTune for endpoints using Windows, iOS, and Android.
  • Ensure that all endpoints are compliant with licensing, security patches, and company policies
  • Host regular sessions with internal teams to disseminate knowledge of technologies and best practices
  • Lead endpoint-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset
  • Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly

What You Bring

  • High quality end-user technical support, related to point-of-sale systems, network, and hardware
  • An in-depth understanding of POS systems, software, networks, and hardware as well as the ability to apply that knowledge to support our POS systems
  • Detailed knowledge of payment systems and the integration that makes them interface with the POS
  • Ability to manage time well, and prioritize multiple projects
  • Must have outstanding communication skills
  • 3 years' supporting a fast-paced retail environment
  • Must have experience with SQL database and be able to create and edit SQL statements
  • Experience using a ticketing system and creating knowledge base articles
  • Ability to support remote POS systems using an RMM
  • Strong work ethic

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience offering technical support in a retail environment using Oracle Xstore and Oracle Xadmin
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System administration, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced scripting knowledge using PowerShell
  • Experience using and supporting Verifone payment devices, particularly using Tender Retail as middleware
