Job description

MM&A is seeking applications for a Principal Geologist based in its Bluefield, VA or Blacksburg, VA office. Preferred backgrounds include:

1. 10 years of Applicable Experience (Consulting and Industry Backgrounds Acceptable)
2. Professional Geologist (PG, AIPG, etc.) License
3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
4. Familiarity with Reserve Reporting (JORC/NI 43-101/SEC) Standards
5. Strong Technical Writing Skills
6. Capabilities should include resource modeling, exploration database development, geologic/hazard mapping, quality mapping/analysis, and exploration management/planning.

Responsibilities will include proposal drafting, project budgeting, client interaction, development of technical reports, project management, and coordination of junior and technical support staff. Must be willing to travel and be capable of working in a project team-oriented environment. The position includes upward/management potential.
