Job Description:The practice is a busy academic orthopaedic department with multiple offices in the Tri-State area. The practice is recruiting an advanced practice provider to provide medical services for its joint replacement division. Essential Job Responsibilities:Compassionate, energetic, responsible individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centric care in an orthopaedic joint replacement academic service.No call responsibilities. Occasional evening hours.Treats patients independently in an office and provides first assistant surgical services in the operating room.Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.Maintains and reviews patient's records, charts and other pertinent information.Participates in research projects and educational projects.Performs related work as required.Education: Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience. Experience in orthopaedic surgery is desired.License/Registration: Valid licensure in both West Virginia and Ohio. Board certification is required.
