JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Class: 6MO
Job Title: Silicones Mill Operator
Position Function: Operates a variety of equipment including 2 roll mills and internal mixer ensuring quality of product(s) and conformance with the standard operating procedure is maintained. Able to follow all safety procedures at site while running molding presses with high attention to detail. (Associates must follow PPE requirements and follow emergency procedures when necessary).
Responsibilities: To include but not limited to the following
1. Weigh (compound) material mixes from work instructions.
2. Mix materials on required equipment following work instructions.
3. Maintains part quality and production targets outlined by each job type.
4. Adjust machine parameters as needed to produce acceptable product.
5. Fills out all production tracking paperwork accurately.
6. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor.
7. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
8. Follows prescribed plant safety rules and regulations
9. Completes all ISO 9001:2015 AS9100D quality training and follows all related procedures
10. Performs any and all other related duties as required or directed.
Job Specifications:
1. High School Diploma/GED.
2. Must be able to stand for entire shift.
3. Must be able to do basic math.
4. Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs.
5. Must be able to use a weighment scale.
6. Must pass a pulmonary test and respirator fitting.
Skills / Qualifications:
1. Safety Awareness.
2. Must be certified to operate the 30”, 42” and 60” Silicone Mills, and Banbury
Mixer.
3. Attention to detail, accuracy and precision.
4. Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
5. Ability to recognize and deal with priorities and work independently.
