Summary Check Truck Drivers in or out while maintaining truckers yard via required app. Core Responsibilities Check Truck Drivers in/out with correct required information via defined app following platform SOP. Ensure all trailers in the yard are marked properly and inputted into defined platform Report shift metrics on an hourly basis via defined messaging platform Monitor driver arrival times via defined website Ensure Outbound trailers are scheduled according to business needs Coordinate and communicate with Dock employees and Yard Driver for proper dock assignments Consistent communication with leadership regarding trailers in the yard Report maintenance issues of facility and/or equipment to supervisor Open seals with bolt cutters to inspect trailer contents prior to accepting load Open line of communication with Drivers to obtain ETAs if not on schedule Respond to questions posted in defined messaging platform During down times, assist in other areas such as Beacon, Barcode, QA Secondary Responsibilities Business Conduct Commits to behave in compliance with the company’s values and Code of Conduct Builds a culture of work safety and leads by example with one's own safe behavior Treats co-workers with respect and approaches conflict with positive intent and professionalism Asks questions to understand why we do what we do and how we do it - champions change when improvements can be made Requirements You must be 18 years old. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required. Having your own vehicle is preferable. Skills Required Attention to detail Organized Ability to multitask Good with computers/phones Skills Preferred Data entry Bilingual Knowledge of safety practices Ability to work with minimum supervision Time management Experience with tools or spot welding is a plus Education and Experience Preferred High School diploma or general education degree (GED) 1-3 years yard management Physical Requirements Regularly required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with arms; and, talk or hear Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision Occasional, represents 1 to 33% or 1-2 hours of an 8 hour work day.
