Mars Hill Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Mars Hill has been AAHA accredited since 1998 and recently received our renewal for 3 more years. We provide excellent care to our patients and we are looking to hire a Full or Part-Time Veterinary Assistant that will help us uphold that reputation.

Our Veterinary Assistants are an important part of our pet care team. Not only do they focus on our patients but they also help provide outstanding customer service to our clients. It requires an excellent attitude, work ethic, and self motivation.

The Veterinary Assistant role can be a full-time or part-time position and requires some Weekends and Holidays.

This position is a great training opportunity for someone that wants to become a Veterinary Technician, or pursue Certified Veterinary Assistant status. We prefer candidates with veterinary practice experience including:

• Greeting patients/clients
• Lab work
• Monitoring of patients
• Assisting veterinarians
• Pharmacy duties
• Handling medical records
