JOB SUMMARY

Leveraging your expertise in Agile and program management, this role empowers you to spearhead the transformational initiatives that are critical to the Property Support Reimagined effort. This role will lead the continued drive of these initiatives, manage communication, and stakeholder buy-in all in support of the Marriott Growth Platform (MGP) initiative, employing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for seamless delivery and continuous improvement. Communicates with stakeholders, escalate impediments, helps manage risks, and drive relentless improvement. 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience 

Required:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
    • Team leadership in matrixed organizations
    • Servant leadership that highly values feedback
    • Project/program management expertise
    • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict conflicts and drive direction/focus
  • 2 years of experience developing and executing strategic service desk plans or initiatives
  • Proficient in Agile SAFe or comparable similar framework
  • 8 years relevant work experience in complex programs demonstrating:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree
  • Project management certification
  • Scaled Agile Framework Level 1 certification
  • Proven experience in planning, budgeting, and analysis within one or more business groups.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders in all mainstream mediums
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations in everything from one-pagers to slide presentations
  • Experience with development of program and project standards in a sourced environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult. 
  • Experience with business process re-engineering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supported discipline.
  • Strong process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the lifecycle of technologies and applications and to translate into business strategies for the client organizations.
  • Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and partnering in a managed service environment.
  • Experience in executing multi-year plans.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

Drive Service Desk Transformation:

  • Collaborate closely with the Property Support Reimagined team to ensure the program aligns with established service desk goals and processes.
  • Embed service desk teams effectively within Property Support Reimagined initiatives, guiding their execution strategies.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across departments to maintain service desk alignment with overall Property Support Reimagined objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration between service desk teams, solution architects, and support specialists.

Master of Agile SAFe:

  • Manage and optimize value flow through the ART using Kanban boards and other SAFe tools.
  • Facilitate PI planning and delivery, driving continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics.
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Identify resource gaps across teams and ARTs, recommending solutions to portfolio leaders.
  • Maintain agile tools and dashboards to track progress towards PI objectives and value flow.

Program Management Proficiency:

  • Create high quality/polished artifacts like presentations, one-pagers, and read outs that will be shared at the executive level.
  • Support or lead modeling and planning phases for new service desk initiatives.
  • Develop program-level governance, managing status, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting across teams.
  • Partner with project management teams to implement program structures and oversight.
  • Escalate and monitor program risk management, creating and implementing mitigation plans.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across business disciplines and Property Support teams.
  • Partner with other support groups to provide transparency and input to budgets.
  • Encourage collaboration between teams, solution architects, and product owners.
  • Generate enthusiasm and understanding of the department's vision and individual contributions.

Process Excellence and Innovation:

  • Support the development of a behavioral change management strategy for process and tool adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve process quality and effectiveness.
  • Apply creative thinking to develop and execute new project plans within the Agile SAFe framework.

  • Attends and participates in all relevant meetings.
  • Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, organized manner.

  • Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager.

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $222,943.00 annually.

Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $133,766.00 to $245,238.00 annually.

New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
