We are currently recruiting for an (AM) M Club Lounge Attendant to join our team!
The M Club is a destination and an elevated, curated concierge lounge experience. It is a key benefit for our most valuable guests and designed to recognize and reward our elite members. Members enjoy 24/7 access to a private and exclusive space with free high-speed Wi-Fi. They can prep for their day over complimentary breakfast, work and recharge with snacks throughout the day, or relax over a drink and hors d'oeuvres in the evening.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Welcome and engage guests.
  • Monitor guest access to a Platinum, Titanium, Ambassador or M Club paying customer 1 guest.
  • Project the M Club's exclusive and coveted experience.
  • Assist the guest directly in concierge services such as (but not limited to): reservations, local directions, information about and arranging business services, sightseeing information and more.
  • Desired task ratio is 10% maintenance, 20% food and beverage and 70% welcoming/guest focus.
  • Set up and maintenance of the Breakfast Bar in an attractive abundant looking, organized, clean and standardized presentation, maintaining brand standards at all times.
  • Takes inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day.
  • Assists with set up of prepared foods such as fresh fruit, coffee and juices.
  • Set up of serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other products.
  • Set up and arrangement of cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal.
  • Clears and cleans tables as they are vacated.
  • Removes trash from service area.
  • Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed.
  • Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage.
  • Ensures glassware is polished and replenished as needed.
  • Return reusable food supplies to storage after service.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Dust, polish, & vacuum furniture.
  • Dust and cleans room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.; using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisor
  • Inspect areas for safety hazards
  • Check operating conditions of equipment
  • Report lost & found articles per hotel procedure
  • Report maintenance problems (common areas) to the department supervisor and maintenance
  • Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor/ manager.
  • Perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/ manager
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English and effectively communicate with Team Members and Guests.
  • Must be able to apply commonsense understanding, in carrying out instructions
  • Must be able to utilize and follow a checklist, take inventory of supplies and convey information to staff and management.
  • Must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work without constant supervision.
  • Must be able to work well as a part of a team.
  • Must be engaging with all guests; responding to their needs as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Standing and walking for entire length of shift.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Six months Customer Service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
